On Amitabh Bachan and Rekha--
During the making of the film Coolie, AB and Rekha's romance was at its peak. The stars whos birthdays are just a day apart shared sizzling chemistry. So Jaya Bachchan must have thanked the Gods for their timely intervention when AB was struck fatally on the sets of Colloe. Although Rekha went to Tiupati, Jya's prayers at Siddhivinyak ( Mumbai ) got her a better deal !
Dharmendra and Hema Malini
Marriage could not stop Dharam from losing his heart to the dream girl. She almost slipped through his fingers to tie the knot with Jeetendra and then Sanjeev Kumar but after 20 films together, Dharam married his leading lady. Kamal and Sarika
Theirs was a bohemian affair. Kamal lived in with Sarika even while he was married to Vani Ganapathy and lovers said that they would give each other space. But when he expanded his space to include tamil actress Simran, Sarika walked out.
Venkat , Myself and couple of others including the humourous AE Ramesh of FIL systems had a great trip to Sabrimalai-- Forgetting the divinity of the trip, the thing that impressed all of us was the growth in the rural areas in terms of roads etc., -- Theni ( where we halted on our onward journey ) seems to be booming-- We also refuelled our cars at a all Ladies Petrol Bunk in Theni ( yes, all Women employees at this bunk )-- things are changing for the better--

Talking of women employees in Petrol Bunk..Hmmmmmmm...Iam getting used to 'no employees' in Petrol bunks...After being used to luxuriously sitting in the car and waiting for a guy to fill gas and another guy to check air..it is hysterical! to do all that urself:)- here!
