The EPL Season and ManU triumph

I was away and could not watch ManU clinch their third successive EPL title- With one match to go , they gained a unassailable lead over second placed Liverpool who probably made one of the strongest challenges for the title for this season -- ManU drew their last match nervously against Arsenal and that was good enough -- Lot of reasons for their success -- The defence was outstanding -- The experience that they had in their ranks was great -- Ryan Giggs played his 800 match for ManU -- What a loyal player this man has been for ManU ?-- Coupled with this veterans Paul Scholes ( always finds a way to create a goal ) , Rio Ferdinand and Vedic at the back , Patrice Evra , Ronaldo , John Oshea ,, Fletcher, Carrick at the Centre , the wily Korean Ji Sung Park , the fire power of Rooney , Berbatov, Tevez ,, the teenage sensation Machda at the front and another veteran Edwin Van der "Ser at the goal post -- all made the ManU success story.. They were handled admirable by Sir Alex Ferguson their Manager --
When the season started last year , there rumours of Ronaldo ( the highest scorer in 2007-08 in the EPL ) leaving the club-- Ronaldo stayed on but was not the same Ronaldo of 2008--Sometimes performance and success gets in to your head -- and that played on to his performance which was not great by his own benchmark standards.
This season goals for ManU were scored by equal contribution by everyone and Ronaldo got marginalised is my thought.. Ronaldo will still has the chance to get the " Golden boot " which is given for the highest scorer in the EPL league -- But the fact he did not do well came from the selection of Steven Gerard of Liverpool by Writers Association as Footballer of the year and Ronaldo was down in the fifth place on the votes -- Roonery , Vedic score more votes than him-ManU also have agreed to relieve him on a 108 Mils $ deal -- yes the number is correct- Whichever club can pay this money can have Ronaldo -- Sir Alex got this one right as well-- he has during this season built the team around Ronaldo and not Ronaldo round the team -- One needs to deftly handle his success else the decline is very fast-
ManU still have one more trophy that they can aim to retain European title - they meet Barca in the finals on May 27th at Rome-- Overall a great year for ManU fan on the EPL !!



The Trip
We went on our annual pilgrimage to Sabrimalai -- We were nineteen of us including eight first time visitors and in that four children as well -- The children's parents were worried as to whether the children will handle the climb of 6.5 Kms -- I was very confident of them doing the up and down with ease -- and true to that the children were ahead of the group at all points and we had to hold them back from climbing or descending very fast -- the elders huffed , puffed , took breaks , stretched muscles etc., but the kids did nothing of this -- to them the objective was to get atop and nothing could stop them -- They did not know the end point and did not know where they stood at each break -- but they never asked " are we done and are we on top , is there more to do " -- Others like me were looking at each bend of the hill to see if this was the last bend before we reached -- Really amazing kids --Overall it was good darshan with less crowd due to the timing of the year ( non season ) --The trip was arranged impeccably well by the team and everyone played their part and took on assignments willingly, glad to reach and help out , very focussed and being interested in everyone's well being and enjoyed the journey -- The team leader ( Guruswamy ) lead the way , gave directions , was emotionally resilient all the way --
Wish we all could behave this way all through the year !! I am sure the team members who came on the trip will agree.
