Moto GP
I watched one of the best bike races ever -- It was the Catalunya Spain GP and the sixth race of the year -- the Yamaha and the Ducati had a battle royal -- As the race warmed the chances were even with Yamahas of defending world Champion Rossi and fast racing challenger Lorenzo with Ducati's Casey Stoner -- After around 12 laps , the Ducati faded and was content with the third place that it protected till the end -- Lorenzo took the lead with three laps to go but Rossi got it back very quickly-- the last lap was classic -- the lead changed three times and every time at the corners , it was breathtaking as one outwitted the other -- it was amazing that the bikes did not touch each other -- Finally Rossi did what he is known for -- he took the lead by a risky move on the last turn and then held on to win by inches-- I could not sit and watch -- I was standing for the last three laps of this incredible race -- Mind you , both the riders belonged to the same team but when the stakes are high teams do not matter - Lorenzo the Spanish driver was trying to win in front of his home crowd , while Rossi was trying to retain his mastery over the cataluna circuit for the sixth time -- Incidentally all the three drivers are on same number of points 106 at the end of this race and this shows how competitive the teams and drivers have been - Watch one of these races -- you will get hooked to this for the sheer skill of bike riding by these guys

I realised this over the week end -- I got maximum number of SMS for my birthday from Insurance companies !! Each of them wanted to wish me on my birthday , wish me a good health and prosperity !! I realised this, for having to pay premia , I indeed need to be healthy and prosperous as well -- What a awakening --
Cricket Y 20 World Cup
The atmosphere was terrific for both the India matches -- Just before the toss , little boys and girls accompanied the players for the national anthem -- All these people were selected through a contest and flew to do this-- For the first match , the little girl who walked with Dhoni was so proud-- She would keep the photos and remember for life-- The national anthem on a international area is terrific -- a great moment -- and with this great commentary -- Sample this--

One more -- Ian Chapple with Harsha Bhogle again--
The discussion was on Ravindra Jadeja and Ian Chappell commented that Shane Warne has great eye for picking talent ( jadeja played for Rajasthan Royals for which Shane Warne is the captain ) -- he paused and said " I meant cricketing talent :

So sat down to watch the matches late in to the night on Friday and Sunday and ended up in a whimper with India losing both the matches and out of tournament-
If India had won , the other things would not have found itself on the blog !!
