What a race-- before the race there was enough drama-- Lewis Hamilton the rookie who has been on the podium in all the nine races of this season finally met his fate- A rare bungle in fitting the gun to the tyre loosely saw him crash in to the tyre wall with great impact in Saturday's qualifying for the Sunday race- One thought that Lewis will not race on Sunday -- The car was totally damaged and Lewis looked shaken up -- but to everyone's surprise Lewis took position 10 on the gird ( that was where he was when he crashed ) out of the 22 cars-- Lewis is showing great courage and qualities that will make him a champion.
Well on to the race-- As it was to start , rain was predicted and the prediction was true-- it poured heavily and after lap1 ever car was hurrying to the pits to change from Dry tyres to wet weather ones-- the track was flooded by the torrential rain-- and the first corner was so slippery that five cars followed each other in to the gravel pit- it was like a scene out of the movies- every car lost its grip and went in to the gravel trap on turn 1-- the race was stopped and re started-- amidst all this , pole sitter Kimi Raikonen ( Ferrari ) lost six placed to be placed seventh at the re start-- Kimi quit on lap 34 due to gear box problems-- Massa of Ferrari lead till around 6 laps to go- rain was predicted again and all the cars wanted to change the tyres-- in this change , the Ferrari lost grip and Alonso of Renault used to opportunity and overtook Massa with a brilliant move that saw the cars touching each other-- Massa finished second-- Lewis all the while had issues but would not give up-- He finished ninth and did not gain any points-- On Saturday it looked as if both the Ferraris will do well -- But Alonso won the race and with Raikonen not finishing , it was a bad week end for the Ferraris--
