I was lucky to attend this weekend a video presentation of music in movies of fifties and sixties that covered Tamil , English and Hindi movie hits- The music and film clips were confined to a specific period 1950- 1969 and not all hits and favourites got covered -- But it was vintage stuff for someone to put them together and have us spellbound for three hours or so-- The clips started with 1950 Varaay neee from Manthira Kumari , took us trough Anarkali , , Game of love ( Ton Brent ) . Shri 420 ( hindi ), Apeil Love ( Pat Boone ), Ben Hur , , Pillow Talk, Cleopatra, Karnan , Lara's theme from Dr.Zhivago Thillana Mohanbal to end with Mere sapnon ki rani kab aayegi to from the film Aradhana-- there was totally 68 clips-
I will explore to see if I can get the DVD that has been done and see if we can meet and do this private show sometime-
PS; there was a intermission half way and we let the bar open at the intermission
