Blogs - why and what is the kick in creating blogs ?
Last week at my Rotary meeting , we had the privilege to hear Kirubha sankar ( www.kiruba.com )- Some of his experiences and the help that he got from blogging was
- He never applied for a job- people found him through his blog- he changed three jobs before he became a entrepreneur
- Networking -- the other day looking at his blog , he was interviewed by Times Now channel on the safety issues on MA Chidambaram stadium that he wrote in the blog-
- he started the blog because none of his writings were published by any newspaper- Now he writes , publishes the blog and is so happy to see it - he was just frustrated that a editor in a newspaper was blocking his views and thoughts and so the blog-Caution : You may publish your blog , but still people may not read it !!
_ he also talked about the power of the blog- Google search engine helps pull all information and the medium is very powerful to spread messages
He went to say how his blog can earn him money through advts ., ( seems to be big time revenue generators which I need to explore )discouraged people from using free email sites like yahoo , hotmail etc., ) - requested people to buy their own domain ( cost only INR 395 ) and this will help you to set your own e mail id
He talked about news today are very current with the internet and its powerfulness

Humour Club
This month's meeting's open house was very good - Babu's little daughter kept the audience alive with her quota of four jokes- She was missed out to be called with rest of the Podi pasangal at the beginning of the sessions and although she was late , her approach to the stage , her delivery and her non chalance made every one sit up- her jokes and her presentation of them ( note delivery of them ) sent the audience in to peals of laughter-- No wonder she got the first prize for jokes in the open session - (there are three prizes up for grabs every week )-- she was also mentioned as a source of inspiration by none other than Mr Koothabiran ( ex AIR artiste , if we listened to Vividh barati and Chennai AIR , most if the plays were directed by this person during the 80's and may be 90's ) and the chief guest speaker Mr Pithkuli Murugadas.
Babu , his wife, Babu's parents were made proud by the performance of Little Sharvana -- babu : kudos -- I have a big motivation to attend the humour club -- Your daughter is cute and talented and is star
I could not attend the main session , the key speaker address due to other interests ( Formula one race had started )

ManU were crowned champions after they beat Wigan by two goals to Nil and Chelsea the contender drew their last match- So the chances of both teams finishing on the same points and the winner being decided by a better goal difference did not arise - even in that case ManU would have won- That brings down the curtains on the football season- people at home were relieved that they no longer had to watch the silly stuff that I was watching and following and they can tune in to their favourite programs from next week-
While talking of ManU , one needs to mention Ryan Giggs who scored the second goal in the match against Wigan -- that was his 758 appearance for ManU -- yes 758 appearances for the same club-- and this title that ManU won was Ryan's tenth premiership title with the club as well- talk of loyalty and fearsome support that this person has had for the club over the years-- the icing on the cake will be if ManU manage to beat Chelsea in the Championship league final on May 21 at Moscow.That will be a great moment for Sir Alex Ferguson who has been the Manager for ManU since 1986 and has 29 major trophy wins to his credit with the club.

Felippe Massa's love for the Istanbul's circuit continued. For the third year in succession , Massa took pole in the Saturday qualifying and then went on to win the race. Massa drove a splendid error free race- he was under pressure from Lewis Hamilton of McLaren throughout the race. Massa put his head down and did not commit mistakes- (he did earlier in the Australian and Malaysian GP and crashed out of the races- )-Raikonen the current world champion finished third- major disappointment was the Force India team -- Fischella crashed and missed landing on the Willams carr by inches and wnet out of the race in lap 1- the other driver finished but was behind the winner by more than a lap-- So Mallaya's disappointment continues with Formula one as well as with the performance of his Royal Challengers in the Ipl club- you will see lot of spats coming this week

He was so sportive that the show turned out to be a Coffee with Anu types. - quite unexpected in such a show where the guest is always annoyed with the pulling and ragging. He also shared the background of the HC and how it works. Got reminded of it, seeing your post on humour club.
