It was tough to follow Cricket , Formula one and tennis -- the rains delayed the start of the tennis , so first preference was to Formula one
Formula one :
It was a wet sticky race -- The English weather ensured that the race was full of spins and tosses and a slow race due to the water puddles -- Hamilton and Raikonen were together till they pitted on lap 21-- While Hamilton managed to sneak out just before Raikonen, The Ferrari team did something unthinkable - Due to whatever strategy they had , the tyres of Raikonen's car was not changed -- Only the fuel was refilled and this had a great impact on Hamilton winning the race by more than one minute time difference-- Raikonen who followed Hamilton out soon found no grip on his old tyres and he lost his position and slid to sixth-- He was loosing about 5 seconds to a lap which is significant amount of time to loose-- Finally Ferrari brought him in and changed the tyres and Raikonen found grip on the tyres and clawed back to finish fourth-- Massa had a race to forget -- his car must have spun off not less than six times but he still managed to finish the race- The spin off was so frequent that the commentator remarked that Massa is doing things as usual-- Such was the frequency and the wetness of the track that played havoc over drivers and their control on the cars that do not have traction control-- While the races concluded it threw up three leaders Hamilton , Massa and Raikonen are all on 48 points -- Interesting battle ahead

Tennis
It was a magnificent final --Federer and Nadal battled for 4 hours and 48 minutes dishing out high quality Tennis- Nadal won the battle and dethroned Federer from his favourite surface - Grass - While the first two sets displayed the superiority that Nadal enjoyed in retrieving the ball and court coverage , the third and fourth sets showed Federer's ability to come back in adversity-- No player gave away any easy point and some magnificent hitting by both the players made you jump on your seat- We watched incredible court coverage and discovering new angles and stroke play-- this match will be remembered for a long time as one of the greatest matches to be played at Wimbledon _ federer as usual was classy , while Nadal was tenacious , gritty determined and would not gave an inch of space- Finally the better man and Federer admitted in his post match conference that he tried everything and Nadal the better player won- It was a fitting final that will be etched in memory for a long time
Cricket-
Do you want to make people grow big and famous ? Have them play against the Indian team-- Ajantha who ? was the question before the final of the Asia cup and now everyone knows who he is -- thanks to the benevolent Indian team that gave him wickets not one or two but six of them -- And on top of all this they say they could read him -- What does that mean ? -- Are our players fit to play international cricket ? At this level , one should be able to handle anything and everything --Giving this reason for the defeat was a shame -- Is there no pre match strategy ?
Yet a another frustrating result for the Indian fan--
