EPL update

The race for the top spot is becoming very close -- ManU lead by one point and a game on hand at the end of the last week's schedule of matches --
for the second week in running ManU lost and that too a club to which they have never lost in the last 45 years -- When your club loses what do you wish -- you wish that the other close contenders to your club loose their matches as well - that is what second placed Chelsea did -- they lost and did a favour to ManU -- But not Liverpool -- they are in prime form and thrashed Villa by 5 - 0 to narrow the gap to a point on the table --
ManU began well in their match but in the 18th minute veteran Paul Scholes handled the ball inside the penalty area -- that had him being sent off and Fulham get a penalty which they converted -- Now with 10 players , the ground becomes big for the opposition and plenty of open spaces -- Fulham survived the ManU barrage and rubbed it again by scoring one more goal -- Rooney was distraught by these and showed dissent and was red carded as well -- ManU played the last six or seven minutes with nine men --
ManU have a awesome task in the next nine games -- they have to win them all -- With Liverpool just a point away they cannot afford to even draw a match -- So exciting fare on the cards for the followers of EPL

Cricket --

How easy they made it look -- I am talking about India beating NZ with a day to spare -- But I think there was a plan and it was executed brilliantly -- First Dhoni won the toss and took an important decision to field first -- and on the execution part -- The bowlers responded splendidly by knocking the stuff out of the NZ batting by lunch time on day one -- they bowled in the right places , fielding was good ( they caught all of those on that was offered till that point which is something that we do not )-- once this was done , NZ was had a mountain to climb-- Everyone chipped on the batting with Sachin -- a lovely century to boot-- I watched Sachin on the 3rd morning and I thought his performance was sublime , silky and a treat to the eye-- he was caressing the ball , the bat was moving in a beautiful arc and the ball kept disappearing -- it has been a long time since I saw Sachin play this way-- The bowlers returned the compliment in the second innings and the five day match was over in four -- Well Done Dhoni !!
