Formula One -- Success for Force India at the Belgium SPA GP
It has been long time coming for Force India -- When Fischella took pole in the Saturday qualifying , i was surprised and shocked as well -- I doubted the car had enough fuel in it even to last a lap or two in the race on Sunday -- Fischella and the Force India team proved everyone wrong -- Not only had the car enough fuel but also power and stability to last the race-- Fischella ended up finishing second and on the podium and the first points for the Force India team-- this is significant for the team - They have a car that can match all the other cars and which can line up in the front-- Kimi Raikonen won the race and Belgium circuit is a Kimi special ( this was his fourth win in five years of racing at Belgium ) and this was Ferrari's first Top place finish for the season --
The Grand Prix of Belgium is always one of the most dramatic of the season -- the circuit is one of the most beautiful circuits.The Spa-Franco champs circuit is near the border of Belgium, Germany and Holland -- the circuit is close to 7 KMS long making it one of the longest tracks among all F1 circuits --and to the drivers the circuit is a challenge -- This year"s GP had its moments of drama as four cars crashed out in the opening lap - it took out Championship leader Button of Brawn GP , Hamilton the defending champion and two other cars -- Kimi took the lead once the safety car went out on the fourth lap and then kept the lead to win the race but the margin was quite close -- Kimi could not pull away from the second placed Force India car as one expected and this showed that Force India have the car that can keep pace with the best -- Fortunes for the Force India should change from here on -- the championship is now quite open and any of the four Button , Barrichello , Weber or Vettel can win it -
I have to talk about the second Ferrari driver Luca Badoer -- Luca came in for the injured Felippe Massa and i cannot believe that Ferrari has put him up to race - Luca is the test driver for Ferrari and he remained so on the race track as well -- he was giving space to anyone who wanted to overtake him and generally drove his own race without competition -- Luca incidentally has not raced for the last ten years !! -- It just showed how Ferrari was exposed in not having a good back up drivers -- Not sure when Massa is going to be back but Ferrari needs to find someone who can race ! While Kimi finished first , Luca finished last and with the same type of car set up -- just shows how drivers can make the change to a car !!

With four matches gone , the league is gaining momentum -- Surprise pack has been Tottenham Hotspur this season so far -- they have won all four matches along with Chelsea to go on top ( 12 points from four ) -- last year after eight matches ,Tottenham had two points and were facing relegation !! --
My favourite team ManU lost during the last week to promoted side Burley and are behind the leaders by 3 points -They won this week's key encounter against Arsenal -- being a ManU fan , i was happy with the result of ManU winning but there was no dispute on the fact that Arsenal was the better team but it self destructed itself on this day -- After going one up , Arsenal lost the plot when its goalkeeper brought down Rooney for a penalty ( which was converted by Rooney himself ) and then in the most bizarre circumstances , its midfielder headed in a harmless cross in to its own goal and that sealed Arsenal's fate--
With this key win , ManU will hope to ride on and carry the momentum when they meet Tottenham in their next league match
