This month's meeting had a surprise package in the open session -- A little girl walked up the ramp to tell jokes to the crowd ( girls will only walk the ramp !! )-
She had no fear of the crowd and rattled off the jokes that her grandmother had fed her on- The applause was thundering- I knew the girl and her father who prompted her to the stage and quietly stepped aside -- At the end of the open session , she won a prize as well for her young talent-- No prizes for guessing who the little one- She was Our PR Babu's daughter -- She certainly made her parents proud and Babu and his wife will be recognised in the humour club meetings as Sharavana's parents..
The guest speaker was Dr Arioli a man who was very close to the eighties in age- But his humour and ability to articulate was very young. Dr Arioli is a retired teacher and the doctorate was from the Copenhagen university for his research on siddha , homepath etc.,Dr Arioli spoke with great skill and knowledge and with lot of humour-he was able to articulate how we miss simple things and get in to complications- he urged people to think logically and get in to problems-- He went on and was well past 90 minutes in to his speech that Babu and myself were forced to leave- by the looks of it , the Dr would have carried on well in to the night- such was his energy levels to speak and share !
